FP-Radar: Longitudinal Measurement and Early Detection of Browser Fingerprinting

Abstract Browser fingerprinting is a stateless tracking technique that aims to combine information exposed by multiple different web APIs create unique identifier for users across the web. Over last decade, trackers have abused several existing and newly proposed further enhance browser fingerprint. Existing approaches are limited detecting specific technique(s) at particular point in time. Thus, they unable systematically detect novel techniques abuse APIs. In this paper, we propose FP-R adar , machine learning approach leverages longitudinal measurements of API usage on top-100K websites over decade early detection new evolving techniques.
